About Rachael Katz, AMFT

Rachael is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (Reg. #103725) supervised by Natalia Boucher LMFT.

She is a native of Los Angeles with a rich educational background. She holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts with an emphasis on California teaching standards from CSUN and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. In her 10-plus years as an educator and child care provider, she has cultivated a passion and personal commitment to providing educational, behavioral, and emotional support for children and families. 

Rachael has a unique and comprehensive background working in preschool, elementary, and middle school settings. Having held positions as a teacher, ABA therapist, and school counselor, she has heavily collaborated with interdisciplinary teams of professionals. Rachael received her clinical training from The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills where she completed her internship. 

Alongside her role at Community West, an intensive outpatient treatment facility for adolescents and young adults. Rachael primarily practices from a psychoanalytic theoretical orientation, drawing from attachment theory and utilizing play therapy. Her style is warm, creative, and collaborative. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families and is currently accepting new clients.
