About Natalia Boucher,LMFT

Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a licensed psychotherapist can make things better. I truly care for all of my clients and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek. Since 2014, I have worked on a variety of unique cases and individuals within the context of relationships and circumstances that are critical to their lives.

I began my studies in psychology at the Universidad de la República in Montevideo Uruguay. I continued my studies in the U.S, graduating with a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and Masters of Art in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles.

At the Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, I worked with a variety of clients, including adults, children, families, and couples. There I gained a great deal of experience with the Psychodynamic Therapy, in which therapists help clients explore their unconscious to release psychic tension, exploring their past to make sense of their present. My clients have found me to be a warm, caring presence in their lives, yet they value my clarity in insight into the flawed thought processes that they have let themselves fall victim to throughout their lives.

As part of my training, I worked as a Mental Health Consultant for the Salvation Army preschool in Downtown LA. My work there consisted on screening and observation in the classroom, support, and training for the teachers, and interventions with the children, which included play therapy, parent consultation, and referrals for children, ages 3 – 4. Most of my work at this position was performed in Spanish.

Currently, I am an Advance Clinical Associate in training at The New Center for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles to become a certified adult, child and adolescent psychoanalyst.
